“Depression isn’t real” - Andrew Tate. The three words are provocative. So much so, that Andrew’s tweet exclaiming the above holds the most amount of engagement he’s ever had for a post on Twitter. It triggered a lot of people. Celebrities went nuts. Doctors went berserk. And depressed people suddenly became extremely upbeat and angry.
Interesting read! I've never looked at depression as being a temporary state of being and not permanent, but the comparison to being happy is so telling.
It's also a tribal thing. Connecting through dysfunction/negativity is always going to be more popular than connecting with a tribe based on happiness/positivity because it garners sympathy and care from others.
